Welcome to Grape Creek High School!
I am honored to begin my 8th year of serving the staff, students, and community of Grape Creek as the GCHS principal. After working for over 20 years in the West Texas oil patch, I began my career in education in 2001 as a teacher at Grape Creek Middle School. In 2007, I had the privilege of serving as the assistant principal of Grape Creek Elementary School for one year and then left the district for an opportunity at Robert Lee ISD for three years. In 2010 I came back home to Grape Creek ISD in my current position.
My wife, Kathy and I have six children and eleven grandchildren. Our four youngest children graduated from GCHS well-prepared for life after high school.
When we are not spending time with family or supporting our Eagles and Lady Eagles in their extracurricular activities, we enjoy camping, gardening, and any outdoor recreation.
I am excited for another great year full of student success at GCISD! Our motto for the upcoming school year for faculty and students is:
"Be nice. Work hard. Have fun."
If I can ever be of assistance please give me a call, or, better yet, stop by and visit with me.
